We also thought he'd sleep in it. At the beach. While we suntanned, surfed, swam and read fluffy magazines. Didn't happen. So we thought he'd probably sleep in it when we went away on trips so we wouldn't have the heft of a pack n' play to lug along. Nope, wrong again parents! As far as we know, Kai has not spent one eyes closed moment in this tent! He has puked, peed and even pooped in this tent a time or two, but no sleep has been had within its domed walls.

As you can see, it has served as a handy drying rack while spa baby hung out after a dip in the lagoon at the Waikoloa Hilton on the Big Island. That was a rough day, eh Kai? That photo was taken last February. My, how things have changed!
Today we pulled out the old PeaPod in our playroom. Who needs a fancy ToysRUs playhouse? Kai thought his old baby tent was GREAT! He climbed in and out of it, filled it with bunnies, toys and balls (yes, bunnies do merit their own category these days), and he even lured his incredible shrinking parents inside (sorry, no photos of that!) It did come with a cool toddler sleeping bag that we'll pull out soon. We haven't given up hope that he'll one day sleep in this puppy...get it? puppy, pup tent...har, har!

Those pictures of Baby Kai are precious! I love how the tent is growing up with him! =)
