Couldn't resist videos

Yesterday was my birthday and my super excellent husband sent me to a hotel so I could SLEEP. Ah, heaven! I also indulged in a massage, room service, some wine and TV! It was decadent. Greg and the kiddos visited me in the morning and enjoyed jumping on the bed, riding in the elevators, watching planes take off (I was on the 18th floor with a view of the harbor and some of the runways at Logan), and making a big mess in the hotel restaurant.

In the afternoon they headed out on a secret mission. When they got home Kai "sung like a canary" as Greg put it:

Me: Where did you go?
Kai: To the ice cream store.
Me: What did you buy?
Kai: Mommy's cake.

And a yummy cake it was and made even more yummy by my family singing happy birthday. It is one of Kai's favorite songs and Teia has even partly mastered it!

Tonight Kai asked for his piece of cake with a "candle in a candle stick on it" so he could sing happy birthday to Teia. Teia's birthday isn't for 7 more months but she enjoyed the attention anyway and Kai enjoyed blowing out the candle!

This next video has got to be one of my all time favorites: With Teia's enthusiastic reception of his performance, Greg might be encouraged to get serious about his bongos! If the job doesn't work out in CA, there is always busking.
